CatEye Ge100 Connect Stvzo E-bike Frontlys, Black, 150 Lysstyrker

Fordeler

• STVZO §67-compliant beam with sharp cutoff (K 1808), reducing glare for oncoming traffic
• Measured output modes: 100 lux (High) and 10 lux (Low/Eco) for city-to-commuter range use
• Nominal power draw 6.8 W; suitable for many e-bike light ports that support ≥6 W output
• Wide input range listed at 5.5–14.5 V improves compatibility with common 6 V/12 V motor light outputs (e.g., Bosch/Shimano/Bafang variants)
• IPX4 water resistance for rain and road spray typical of Norwegian conditions
• Low mass (≈94.5 g) and compact size (65 × 63 × 45.5 mm) minimize bar clutter and vibration
• H-34N FlexTight mount fits 22–32 mm and allows over/under-bar positioning; tool-free and field-serviceable
• Memory function restores last used mode; simple 2-mode interface lowers distraction
• Supplied e-bike adapter and 150 cm cable cover most standard commuter frame routings

Ting å vurdere

• No internal battery; dependent on e-bike light port availability and wattage limits
• Voltage window (5.5–14.5 V) indicates it is not designed for direct 24–48 V battery bus connection without a DC–DC converter
• IPX4 is splash-proof, not immersion-rated; heavy slush/high-pressure wash requires care
• 100 lux is strong for urban/commuter use but may be limited for high-speed rural descending compared to 150–200+ lux units
• Cable length (~150 cm) can be short on long cargo bikes or full-suspension frames requiring internal routing
• Plastic housing may be less impact-resistant than alloy-bodied alternatives

Oppsummering & anbefalinger

A compact, STVZO-certified e-bike headlight delivering a 100-lux cutoff beam, low weight, and straightforward mounting. Best for commuters and utility riders who prioritize legal beam control and dependable rain performance. Compatibility hinges on a 5.5–14.5 V light port supplying roughly 6.8 W; it is not for direct high-voltage battery connections. Strong everyday visibility with urban and mixed-use suitability, though power users seeking broader throw at higher speeds may want higher-output alternatives.

Bruksområder & tips

Ge100 Connect Stvzo E-bike Frontlys is appropriate for daily e-bike commuting and utility cycling in Norway, where wet weather, darkness, and urban traffic demand a non-glare STVZO beam. It suits riders using motor systems with a dedicated 6–12 V light output capable of supplying ~7 W. For hilly rural routes in the Nordics, its 100-lux high mode provides controlled cutoff illumination with balanced near- and mid-field coverage, though riders frequently descending at higher speeds may prefer higher-lux options. Ensure compatibility with your drive unit’s light port (voltage and maximum wattage) or use a certified DC–DC converter if your system only offers full-bus voltage. The product follows STVZO optical standards and a practical IPX4 rating; in coastal and winter regions of Norway, routine rinsing after salt exposure and periodic mount inspection are recommended. As a cycling equipment specialist, I note that the H-34N mount’s 22–32 mm range fits most commuter bars; for oversized cockpits or integrated stems, verify clamp space. The light’s two-mode interface and memory function streamline operation with winter gloves, and the 150 cm lead generally accommodates city and trekking e-bikes, while cargo/FS platforms may require extension.
