Gurpil Zac Black 26´´ 8-11s Qr Tubeless Mtb Bakhjul, Black, 9 x 135mm

Fordeler

• 26” rim-brake (V‑brake) rear wheel fills a shrinking but important replacement niche for older MTBs
• Standard QR 135 mm hub and Shimano HG freehub body supports 8–10-speed cassettes and most 11‑speed MTB cassettes (not 11‑speed road)
• 19 mm internal width suits 1.5–1.95 in tires used on many legacy city/commuter and light-trail builds
• Clincher rim can be run with tubes; some users report successful tubeless conversions with tape and valves
• Typically straightforward maintenance with common spokes and standard pawl freehub design

Ting å vurdere

• Rim-brake only; not compatible with disc setups
• Narrow 19 mm internal width limits optimal tire size; not ideal for modern 2.1–2.4 in MTB tires
• Tubeless readiness is conditional; many rim-brake clincher rims lack true TLR bead geometry—air retention can be inconsistent
• 26” ecosystem is increasingly limited (fewer high-quality tire and rim options)
• Budget hubs may use basic bearings and sealing; longevity under wet/gritty conditions can be modest
• Likely heavier than modern mid-tier wheelsets; limited aerodynamic or stiffness gains

Oppsummering & anbefalinger

A practical replacement 26” V‑brake rear wheel with a Shimano HG freehub, suitable for 8–10-speed and most 11‑speed MTB cassettes. It covers essential needs for legacy bikes: QR compatibility, adequate durability for everyday riding, and ease of service. The narrow internal width and rim‑brake constraint limit performance and tire choice, and tubeless use may require careful setup and may not match true TLR rims. Best for riders keeping an older bike running rather than seeking performance upgrades.

Bruksområder & tips

Best as a cost-effective replacement rear wheel for older 26” V‑brake mountain bikes used for commuting, fitness riding, towpaths, and light trails with 1.5–1.95 in tires. Not suited for aggressive trail/enduro riding or modern wide‑tire setups.
