BSD Mind / West Coaster Lhd Bakhjul, Black, 14 x 110m

Fordeler

• BSD West Coaster freecoaster hub is widely regarded as durable and predictable for street/park use, with adjustable slack to tune engagement.
• BSD NASA rim is a welded double-wall design known for high impact strength and resistance to flat spots and pinch dings.
• Includes Jersey Barrier hub guards (drive and non‑drive), improving flange and driver protection for grinding.
• 36h, 4‑cross lacing with appropriate spoke length (192 mm) provides a stiff, durable build for hard street landings.
• LHD (left-hand drive) option protects the drivetrain for riders who grind on the left side.
• Sealed bearings and 14 mm chromoly axle (typical for this hub) suit high-impact freestyle use.
• Comes pre-taped (rim tape included), reducing setup steps.

Ting å vurdere

• Freecoaster hubs have inherent slack and slower engagement than cassettes; not ideal for racing or high-speed acceleration.
• Heavier than comparable cassette rear wheels, which can be noticeable in manuals and hopping for weight-sensitive setups.
• Freecoaster internals require periodic maintenance (slack tuning, clutch/driver service); some riders report driver bearing or clutch wear over time if neglected.
• This SKU is LHD-only; not suitable for riders who require RHD.
• Higher rolling drag and less responsiveness compared to a cassette, especially for pump/flow riding.

Oppsummering & anbefalinger

A robust BMX rear wheel pairing the BSD West Coaster freecoaster with the strong BSD NASA rim, delivered with hub guards and rim tape. It provides reliable freecoaster performance with adjustable slack and high grind protection, optimized for left-side grinding riders. Trade-offs are the typical freecoaster lag, added weight, and periodic maintenance, making it ideal for street/park specialists rather than speed-focused use.

Bruksområder & tips

Best for freestyle BMX riders focused on street and park who use fakie tricks, ice/hard grinds, and prefer/require left-hand drive. Suits heavy-impact riding and frequent grinding where hub guards and a strong rim are priorities. Not intended for BMX racing or riders who want instant engagement and minimal drag.
